From the issuing authority

  • Certificate of Baptism or Naming.
  • Apostille or consular/legalisation (depending on the country).
  • Official translation into Greek.

Parents / child details

  • Parents' ID / passport (copies).
  • Child's birth certificate (if required for cross-check).
  • Contact details & family status where applicable.

Where applicable

  • Marriage certificate of parents or recognition declarations.
  • Final court decisions where required.
  • Certificates from consular/diplomatic authorities.

When is a naming required?

When no baptism has taken place or when a name change/correction is needed. We advise on the correct act to file.

Is it handled via Consulate or the Special Registry?

Since 2022 many cases are processed by staffed Consulates. If you are in an exception category, we process through the Special Registry.

Do I need to appear in person?

Usually not — we handle appointments & submission. We will inform you if a power of attorney or presence is required.
